Marc-Vivien Foé Award 2019: Bafana Bafana's Lebo Mothiba nominated amongst 10 African Ligue 1 stars

After displaying early promise at Lille and during his loan spell at Valenciennes last season, the 23-year old has developed further at Strasbourg, scoring 11 goals in their domestic campaign and helping the club win their third Coupe de la Ligue title this past weekend.

Hailing from 10 different countries, from Mzansi to Morocco, the burly striker is up against some of the finest talents in the French top-flight for the award that's now in its tenth year running.

Previous winners over the past decade include the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Gervinho, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andre Ayew.

The winner of the title that was formed back in 2009 and named in honour of the late Marc-Vivien Foé will be announced on May 13.
