Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has earned his second successive Player of the Season nomination - this time in Belgium.

The reigning PSL Footballer of the Season has once again stood out above his peers after being nominated for the Proximus League Player of the Year, continuing where he left off in his breakthrough season with Mamelodi Sundowns in 2017/18.

His performances for Belgian First Division B side Royal Union Saint-Gilloise has caught the selectors attention, having contributed six goals and seven assists to help them finish second in their regular season table.

The 24-year-old has shown his class while on loan from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, often proving inspirational for the second tier outfit.

Though his future remains uncertain, Tau will certainly be able to mark his time in Belgium as a success, should he earn a move elsewhere in July.

Also nominated is his club mate Comoran international Faiz Selemani, who managed nine goals and seven assists in the regular season, and KV Mechelen’s Nikola Storm, with five goals and eight assists to his name.

The awards ceremony where the winner is set to be announced will be staged on May 6 at 21h00 (SA time).
