Al Ahli Saudi head coach Pitso Mosimane has sent a message of reassurance to Ah Ahly and Bafana Bafana striker Percy Tau amid the attacker's injury troubles and transfer reports.
The 27-year-old's season with Egyptian giants Al Ahly has been hampered by injuries, so much so that Tau missed out on all four of Bafana Bafana's friendlies in September and October.
Mosimane, who coached Tau both while Mamelodi Sundowns and at Al Ahly took to social media to express a heartfelt message to the Lion of Judah.
"Top Player. I wish 2023 keeps you away from injuries," wrote Mosimane.
"Don't worry too much, you are still a quality player [good enough] to play at a high level. Just pray a lot."
Percy Tau scored for in his last two consecutive games for Al Ahly, but he's not featured for the side since mid-December as he nurses an torn fibre muscle injury.
The striker has made just five appearances for the African Club of the Century this season.

The Witbank born forward is also linked with a return to the Premier Soccer League as with early indications suggestions that Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena is keen to bring Tau back to Chloorkop, who left the side for Europe in 2018.
In August last year, Mokwena was blunt is in his admiration of the striker and was not shy to admit that if a possibility to re-sign him emerged, he would just at the chance.
"He [Tau] is my son. My son knows that his father loves him and we come a long way," said Mokwena.
"And if there is a chance to return to SA, then, like with Bongani Zungu, that [re-signing Tau] would be something we would explore for sure."
Meanwhile, Mosimane is well on track to securing promotion to the Saudi Pro League for his side after moving up to just three points behind log-leaders Al-Faisaly.
This follows Mosimane's back to back wins against Faisaly and Al-Hazm respectively.
