On Sunday, reigning K League 1 champions Jeonbuk Motors continued their perfect start to the campaign with a 2-0 win over Daegu FC, courtesy of goals from Brazilian forward Murilo and Cho Kyu-Sung.
Veldwijk, who marked his league debut with a 93rd-minute winning goal against Busan IPark last weekend, was only able to make the bench for the match against Daegu as he recovers from a minor knee injury, but was introduced for the final 20 minutes of the encounter.
The South Africa international took to the field just one minute after Kyu-Sung had doubled the hosts' lead, but was unable to add a third to their tally, despite posing a constant threat to the Daegu defence.
The match then drew to a disappointing close for both sides as, in the final minutes, Daegu saw Kim Seon-Min dismissed for a second bookable offence, before goalscorer Kyu-Sung was similarly shown his marching orders in additional time.
Following three rounds of football, Jeonbuk are the only side that boasts a 100% winning record in the K League 1 this season, and will next take on Gangwon on Saturday, 30 May.
