SA Players Abroad wrap: Kurt Abrahams wins battle of the South Africans against Percy Tau

KURT ABRAHAMS/ PERCY TAU
Abrahams squared off against his South African counterpart Tau in the Belgian second-tier as Westerlo hosted Saint-Gilloise, with the Westerlo striker enjoying the last laugh, netting his sixth goal of the season in his 16th start as he helped his side snap a six-game winless run with a 2-0 victory. Tau came on as a substitute at half-time for his 18th league appearance of the season.

KEAGAN DOLLY
The South African is still sidelined due to injury, with Montpellier jumping up to sixth on the Ligue 1 table after a 2-0 win over Caen.

KEAGHAN JACOBS
Jacobs made his 16th start of the Scottish Premier League season for Livingston, who suffered a fourth defeat in a row in all competitions after going down 3-0 to giants Rangers, as they dropped down to eighth on the log after 23 games.

KYLE JACOBS
Queen of the South lost for the first time in five games, with Jacobs playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Partick Thistle, leaving them fourth on the log after 22 matches.

REFILOE JANE/ RHODA MULAUDZI
After featuring for Banyana Banyana on Tuesday night, both Jane and Mulaudzi started the final game of the season for Australian club Canberra United, who went down 4-1 to Brisbane Roar to end the campaign eighth on the nine-team log. Jane featured in nine games, scoring two goals, while Mulaudzi played in all 11, scoring four.

Mokotjo’s Brentford will be involved in FA Cup action against Barnet this evening.

LEBO MOTHIBA
Mothiba came on for the last 30 minutes for his first league appearance in over a month following an injury as his French top-flight club Strasbourg scored late to beat Bordeaux 1-0, as they now sit fifth in Ligue 1 after 22 matches.

LEBOGANG PHIRI
Phiri made his eighth Ligue 1 start of the season as Guingamp suffered yet another league defeat, this time a 1-0 loss to Reims to keep them at the bottom of the French top-flight standings with just 14 points from their 22 games played.

THULANI SERERO
Serero’s 18th start of the campaign ended in a 1-0 defeat to Fortuna Sittard, as Vitesse dropped one place to fifth on the log after 19 games.

SIPHIWE TSHABALALA
Tshabalala was an unused substitute in Erzurumspor’s 1-1 draw with Besiktas, the point leaving them in the relegation zone in 16th after 19 games, level on points with bottom-of-the-log Akhisarspor.

LARS VELDWIJK
Veldwijk started his 22nd match of the season as Dutch second-tier club Sparta Rotterdam drew a third game in a row, sharing the points with Telstar in a 1-1 draw to remain fourth on the log after 22 matches.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Zungu remains sidelined through injury, with French club Amiens now just three points above the relegation zone in 18th after a 1-0 defeat to Olympique Lyon.
