The Ulundi-born attacker was last season at semi-professional fifth division side Bucak Belediye Oguzhanspor, where he scored 17 goals in 19 games.
Mtshali’s agent Patrice Ikouma has confirmed the move and believes the stocky 21-year-old is good enough to feature at the under-23 national team.
“Lungelo has become a professional player after signing a contract with Manisaspor, which is a second division club in Turkey,’’ Ikouma tells this website.
“My phone was ringing continuously throughout last season, with clubs wanting to have a look at him. At first we had two invitations from second division teams, and now he has joined one.
“I’m delighted for him and I’m sure South Africa will count on him in the future. I feel he has the quality to play for South Africa’s under-23 that in the Olympic Games in Brazil next month.’’
