Chief coach of the team, Kelechi Emetiole says that he has already submitted his programme to the Nigerian FA four weeks ago and is now looking forward to the championship that takes place from March 24-31.

The event also is a qualifier for the World Beach Soccer Cup.

“I sent in my proposal long ago, and I’m waiting for their approval. My own view is that we have a plan in place already, and I believe it will take us to victory again.

“All we need is for the NFA to quickly sit on the programme and approve it. The rest should be left to the team, and I believe the players we will be lining out for the competition will all make us proud,” he promised.

The ex-international, fondly called Caterpillar in his playing days, said his desire is to retain the trophy he won last year, and expressed optimism that his team will do it again.
