The 16 teams fighting for a place in the quarterfinals of Latin America’s most prestigious competition began their second leg fight yesterday with three matches scheduled, three today and the last two on Thursday.

Yesterday Fluminense (Brazil) played Atletico Nacional (Colombia), Atlas (Mexico) against Lanus (Argentine) and Estudiantes (Argentine) v LDU (Ecuador).

Today Sao Paulo (Brazil) play Nacional (Uruguay), Cruzeiro (Brazil) v Boca Juniors (Argentine) and Flamengo against America.

Flamengo won 4-2 away in Mexico in the first leg.

The final two games on Thursday are River Plate (Argentine) against San Lorenzo (Argentine) and Cucuta Deportivo (Colombia) v Santos (Brazil).
