The roving right-back surfaced at the Limpopo-based team after spending the better part of last year clubless, having left FC AK at the height of that club’s financial troubles.

Now, after a week with Dynamos, club manager Moses Mabele concedes that Semake is gradually getting to show the grit that made him famous during his time at Mamelodi Sundowns.

_quote“Obviously in the first couple of days when he (Semake) arrived, he wasn’t at his best because he hasn’t played for a while. But since then, Dan has shown good qualities and is looking sharp.

“It is now just a matter of getting the final report from the coaches before a decision is reached on whether he signs with us or not,” Mabele tells snl24.com/kickoff.

An overlapping right-back Semake got his big break at Sundowns just before the turn of the millennium in two spells that were sandwiched by a short stint with Hellenic.

He also played in the First Division with Vasco da Gama then moving to Black Leopards from where he was lured to FC AK.

He played only eight games for them before packing his bags and moving away.
