Mashaba replaces Swiss coach Raoul Savoy, who was fired last week.
Swazi Football Association CEO Frederick Mngomezulu has confirmed the appointment of the former Bafana Bafana coach who is expected to assume his new duties sometime next week.
“Yes, it is true that Shakes Mashaba is our new coach, but at this stage I cannot divulge details of terms or our contract with him,” Mngomezulu told snl24.com/kickoff from Mbabane.
Mashaba’s first task as the new Sihlangu coach begins next month when Swaziland take on Togo in an Afcon qualifying game set for Somhlolo Stadium, outside Mbabane.
