Lidoda Duvha’s run of ‘bad luck’ continued yesterday when they were beaten 3-2 by Orlando Pirates at Giyani Stadium.

Club brand manager Chief Thidiela said there is no reason to worry about the future of their coach.

_quote"If you watched yesterday’s game, you would have seen that we were unlucky. The team is playing well and the players showed good fighting spirit, coming back from a 2-0 deficit. We were unfortunate in conceding the winning goal towards the end of the match.

“We are still happy with the coach and there is no reason to press panic buttons about his future. I believe we will get positive results soon and that will help us climb to a better position of the log.

Lidoda Duvha are in 14th position with six points.

Meanwhile, Pirates’ stand-in captain Lucky Lekgwati has promised that the team will continue to work hard to bring back smiles among the team’s supporters.

Lekgwati said even though they had started to get positive results in the League, they still needed to work harder to reach the standard that the team is capable of.

“It was tough playing away and I think we deserved to win despite making a few mistakes at the back.

“I would like to appeal to our supporters not put us under pressure to win all games as the team is still building. We have a number of youngsters but they are all prepared to learn and take the team back where it belongs,” he adds.

The former Bafana Bafana defender said their focus now is on the game against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Stadium on Sunday.

"We haven't beaten Sundowns for long time. They owe us big time and hopefully on Sunday we will get another positive result away from home," he says.
