Solomons’ case is set down to be heard by the DC at 17h30 today to answer charges of ‘leading the team into a poor performance this season’.
Solomons tells snl24.com/kickoff that he has a five-year contract with the Limpopo-based side which is scheduled to run until 2012.
“I am very disappointed at the manner in which I have been treated by the team. I certainly did not see it coming. I gave my best to this team but it seems my best was not good enough. Maybe I was expected to perform miracles, even though the team was hit by a series of injuries to key players for long periods.
“I have a five-year contract with the team and if I get fired they will have to pay me out. Apart from that, I don’t have anything further to say until I appear before the committee this afternoon,” Solomons adds.
Meanwhile, Leopards are continuing to search for new coach and goalkeeper coach Joel Masutha will be in charge of the team today against Moroka Swallows at Giyani Stadium.
