Golden Arrows coach Steve Komphela feels the Absa Premiership title race set for an exciting finish and likens it to that of the English Premier League.
At this stage of the season, all eyes tend to fall towards the top of the table where teams are battling it out to win the marathon of 30 games.
Orlando Pirates currently lead the standings with 53 points from 28 games, while Mamelodi Sundowns are hot on their heels with 50 points from one game less.
Up to now, very little has separated the two sides, apart from their goal difference, and Komphela is of the belief that one of the two teams able to hold their nerve longest will reign supreme come May 11.
“It will be determined by the table – the points tally, it’s as simple as all that, the drawn matches and won matches,” Komphela said sarcastically.
“At the moment it’s 50/50 for both teams on top and on goal difference, so it will depend. The same scenario is unfolding in England between Liverpool and Manchester City.
“Maybe whoever has got the nerve, it’s more about mental stability and strength, to go all the way and not panic on ‘what ifs’. But listen, it’s very interesting, we should enjoy it.”
