Students to learn from new match analysis

accreditation

This is revealed on the Clever Boys’ newly revamped website.

“Bidvest Wits is proud to be the first Amisco Club in South Africa. It is part of our drive to support our players and technical staff with the best that the world has to offer,” says CEO Derek Blanckensee.

The report reveals that the match feed is sent live from eight cameras in the Bidvest Stadium to Nice in France over the Internet.

There, a team of experts plots the movement of every single player for every second of the match. The players’ speed, distance run, path followed throughout the match and hundreds of other details are captured.

A complete statistical and tactical analysis of the match is done by Amisco’s football experts. Every touch of the ball, every pass, every tackle is documented and tabulated in graphs and diagrams.

Within 48 hours the analysis is sent back to the technical staff at Bidvest Wits for examination. Pertinent details are extracted and presented to the players so that they can see their strengths and weaknesses with scientific accuracy.
