SuperSport United skipper Thabo September says Orlando Pirates taught them a lesson last season

The teams face each other in the first-leg of the MTN8 semi-final next weekend and September says they will stay focused throughout the game and not concede a late goal like they did in the League loss to Pirates.

"Playing Pirates is tough, they are a good team and are the defending champions, they have quality players and taught us a lesson last season and are a 'never say die' kind of team," he says.

"So we have to make sure we concentrate the whole game. We got 180 minutes against them and we have to make sure we don't concede unnecessary goals and play as a team," he adds.

September believes that SuperSport will have a good season again following their success last year where they won the Nedbank Cup.

"It's good that we won that Cup (Nedbank) last season. We have started well again so we are looking forward to another decent season.

"The players believe that it's going to be a good season as long as we stick together and play like a team and if we do that then we should be very competitive," he adds.
