Despite their No 1 slot, coach Gavin Hunt believes that the race is not over until the fat lady sings. However, he adds that after the victory against Ea Lla Koto on Sunday, they are now more determined to hold onto their position.

“Our victory against Free State Stars was very important and the number of goals scored has added motivation to the team. However, we must not be carried away by the victory as there are still games to be played.

“It is important that my players don’t lose focus at this stage. We have worked hard and we mustn’t let ourselves down. The battle for the league title will become more difficult, but we are determined to lift the title this season.”

Supersport United’s two goal hero against Ea Lla Koto, Dennis Masina tells that he has never seen such spirit and determination among the players in the team since arriving at Matsatsantsa from Bush Bucks a few years ago.

“Each day we tell each other that we must continue to fight hard until we lift the trophy.”
