Thanda laments loss of Parker

Parker, one of Thanda’s best performers this season, will be serving a suspension following a yellow card he received during the match against Orlando Pirates on Sunday.

“I believe that card was not warranted. The referee got it wrong. In fact, he was harsh on us with many yellow cards he was flashing. You see Parker has been a livewire for us throughout this season and not to have him for such a crucial game is a blow. But we’ll have to come up with plan B,” said Palmgren.

Parker, the Amaglug-glug star, scored the second goal for Thanda.

Ghanaian defender Ahmed Mohammed, who scored the first goal, said he was excited to have contributed to the much needed win for the Durban side.

“It was important that we won because of our position on the log. At least we will tackle our next game with high confidence. Personally, I am happy with my contribution though I believe there’s a lot of hard work to do,” said Mohammed.
