Ajax Cape Town, who drew a bye in the first round, will be at home to Indian Ocean islanders Anse Reunion of Seychelles, who disposed of Petite Reviere of Mauritius 2-1 on aggregate in the first round.
Craig Rosslee and his Urban Warriors are unlikely to know much about their visitors and are bound to be more than a bit confused when they see the Anse team list submitted to CAF.
It contains eight players with the surname ‘Rose’ – Ricky, Bernard, Simon, Dana, Roderick, Dervik, Yelvany and Verna. Four of them, Ricky, Roderick, Verna and Yelvany, play for the island’s national team, the Pirates.
Apart from the Roses, Anse also use a trio of Kenyan players, striker James Omondi, towering defender Zablon Amanaka and midfielder Sila Gwada. The first two named have both seen CAF action with their national team, the Harambee Stars, in the past.
