Top Zimbabwean striker on trial

accreditation

Kingston Nkata, the leading goalscorer in Zimbabwe last season, has been training with the side under the watchful gaze of Stars coach Kinnah Phiri, who has been impressed with the CAPS United star.

“Our strikers are doing fine, but with just three of them – Diyo Sibisi, Fanyana Dhladhla and Sifiso Vilakazi – we need to reinforce that department,” Phiri told snl24.com/kickoff. “I know Kingston is a good striker, but at the moment I amlooking at whether he can fit into our playing system before I make a decision on whether to sign him or not.”

Nkata, who is a full Zimbabwe international, scored against South Africa at the Cosafa Under-20 Cup in 2004, when Amajita won their semifinal 4-1.
