Bafana striker Tokelo Rantie back at Bournemouth

accreditation

While Rantie is keen to move on to another club after falling out of favour at Dean Court, snl24.com/kickoff has been told that he is not considering coming back to South Africa despite contrary media reports.

An informant says Rantie only joined The Cherries late for their pre-season due to visa issues and will still be guided by his employers in his bid to play elsewhere.

“Bournemouth will definitely want to recover some of the money [approximately R50-million] that they spent when they brought him in which literally means the option of a return to South Africa is out,” says the source.

“Though 'TK' is obviously frustrated about his lack of game-time as is normal with anyone who is not playing, he wants to remain in Europe for now.”

There has been reported interest in Rantie's services from Denmark but any move would be dependent on whether the buying club will meet Bournemouth's asking price for the 25-year-old.
