Baroka FC hand trial to Botswana internationals Thabang Sesinyi and Onkabetse Makgantai

The duo starred for their country at the recent COSAFA Castle Cup in Namibia, with forward Makgantai named Player of the Tournament.

They both play for Orapa United in the Botswana Premier League and helped their side to a surprise third-place finish last season.

“Baroka has shown interest in Sesinyi and Makgantai and has called them for trials,” United spokesman Tebatso Hule tells MmegiOnline. “We have released them to attend the trials and we wish them well. They will be there from this week.”

Baroka CEO Morgan Mamilla has also confirmed to this website that they are assessing the duo and might take them to their pre-season training camp in Zimbabwe.

The 21-year-old Makgantai is seen as a major talent in his country and scored in the COSAFA Castle Cup final against South Africa from long range by catching goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse off his line.

Sesinyi, 23, is also a forward, who formed a formidable partnership with Makgantai last season.
