Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr keeping striker Mwape Musonda grounded

Musonda, who shared the National First Division Golden Boot with Peter Shalulile last term with 15 goals each, is currently leading the Absa Premiership scoring charts with eight goals.

The Zambian reiterated his value by netting again in Leopards' Nedbank Cup last-32 win over his former club Orlando Pirates at Thohoyandou Stadium on the weekend.

And Kerr is determined to keep Musonda focused on his job in Lidoda Duvha's remaining 13 league games in 2018/19.

"Musonda has not done anything yet, he's still got 13 games to go," Kerr tells

"You know I would still want him to play these 13 games and score a goal per game, if not two. That should be his challenge, that should be his motivation.

"You know we are not going to start bragging. We don't want him to start getting carried away thinking he has done everything. You know the PSL is a very crazy league where things can quickly go against you. The perfomances can go very well then they go badly.

"If players get carried away, football, it will bite you. Or it will kick you where you don't want to be kicked, and that way it will spoil everything."
