Last season’s Absa Premiership top scorer with 14 goals is currently a free agent after parting ways with Aces at the end of last season.

The stocky marksman is on the wanted-list of Celtic, who have since put down an offer for the Zambian international.

Phunya Sele sele have announced eight signings in preparation for next season including Khethokwakhe Masuku, Cheslyn Jampies, Deon Hotto, Atusaye Nyondo, Mpho Maruping and Sibusiso Mxoyana.

“The club is set to meet with Collins Mbesuma today. If all goes well, he will sign with us this afternoon,” says a snl24.com/kickoff source.

Meanwhile, Celtic have appointed goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb as the new club captain. The 31-year-old is in his eighth season with Siwelele since joining the club in 2008 from Tonnerre Yaonde in Cameroon.

Tignyemb replaces defender Bevan Fransman, who has left Celtic to join Maritzburg United.
