Khenyeza was released midway last season by Abafana Bes’thende after a fall-out with both coach Clinton Larsen and his assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi.
But the 34-year-old gets the chance to reignite his career at Usuthu, where he will join forced with fellow experienced forward Siyabonga Nomvethe.
"Mabhudi is coming on board and we have signed him," Antipas confirmed, with KickOff.com able to reveal he has signed a one-year deal.
And the Zimbabwean coach says he is excited to see Khenyeza partnered with Nomvethe.
"Those are exciting players and we all know he's [Khenyeza] a fighter and goal-getter so we hoping for good times at AmaZulu," he said.
Usuthu are also assessing former Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows left-back Tumelo Letuka, as well as former Orlando Pirates defender Kyle Davis.
