Kaizer Chiefs' Bobby Motaung still searching for Swazi players

Amakhosi were repeatedly linked to Mbabane Swallows midfielder Felix Badenhorst in June but a move has so far not materialised, with the player since failing a trial at Bloemfontein Celtic.

While Chiefs have made it a habit of signing players from fellow neighbours Zimbabwe, only a handful of Swazi players have turned out for the club.

Motaung says it is difficult to say why this is the case.

“On a serious note I’ve not done an analysis and I don’t want to analyse and give an overview of what people lack. But obviously we’ve not found what we want at the moment in Swaziland,” Motaung tells KickOff.com.

“We’ve not found a player that would come in and do in terms of our requirements; what we need, so it’s unfortunate.”

Motaung however adds that the club will continue looking for players in Swaziland.

“We’ve been assessing players in Swaziland. Obviously in future we will still [be] looking. We’ll still be analysing and assessing our neighbours,” he concludes.
