The 25-year-old, who was also on the wanted-list of Pirates, has signed a three-year contract with Sundowns according to an official at Chloorkop.
This website broke the news of Sundowns' interest back in early May, and the move has now been sealed. The Mamelodi-born midfielder is touted as a suitable replacement for Bongani Zungu, who is leaving for Portugal.
“It’s a done deal. Mohomi is a Sundowns player. There was no agent involved but the boy’s parents were present during negotiations,” the official tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Efforts to get hold of Motumi's agent Abbie Rasimphi proved futile after he failed to pick up our calls or return our messages.
Mohomi made 23 league appearances for Ea Lla Koto last season and scored three goals.
