Mpandle is expected to pen a three-year contract with the Team of Choice after Celtic agreed to release him for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has been unable to secure the number one jersey in his three years at Phunya Sele Sele. And with Patrick Tignyemb recently being made club captain Mpandle's prospects were dealt a fresh blow in the City of Roses.
"We have agreed on a transfer fee with Maritzburg United. He is gone," says an official at Celtic.
Mpandle's manager Les Mohami has confirmed that his client is moving to KwaZulu-Natal next season.
"I can't give you much except that yes we are speaking to Maritzburg United with the potential of signing," says Mohami.
United are expected to unveil their recruits this week.
