Mthatha Bucks: We're not selling status to Free State Stars after Moroka Swallows deal

Media reports emerged a few weeks ago that the Mokoena family was considering buying Bucks if their deal to sell Stars to Moroka Swallows goes through as expected.

However, Imbabala chiefs operations officer Lunga Tukute is spitting fire about the allegations related to his club being sold to Ea Lla Koto.

Takute has assured Mthatha Bucks supporters that his team is not for sale and will be playing in the National First Division this coming season.

“This has been going for some time,” Tukute tells snl24.com/kickoff, clearly at pains trying to explain the situation.

“I don’t mean to be rude, but this must end now. This has caused a lot of problems in the club and we are even losing potential sponsors because of these reports.

“We don’t have sponsors and some of the business people we have been talking to are now reluctant to help us after these reports.

“We are in the third week now of our pre-season training and this news is disturbing. We will go for camp next week preparing for our campaign in the NFD next season.”
