The 23-year-old was with Free State Stars last season but Ea Lla Koto decided against retaining him for the upcoming campaign thus making him a free agent. He looked full of energy whenever he turned out for Stars last season where he was used coming off the bench as much as he started games.

snl24.com/kickoff understands that the player has agreed terms in principle to join the PSL new boys where he will team up with fellow countryman Peter Shalulile.

“Somaeb has already agreed terms with Highlands and will most likely be turning out for them in the new season. What has made his move easy is the fact that he is joining as a free agent after being released by Free State Stars,” says a source.

Highlands are also believed to be chasing another Namibian in Ronald Ketjijere, who has also reportedly caught the eye of Stars.
