Sikhakhane, who accompanied Pirates to Namibia for the Dr Hage Geingob Cup this weekend, has reportedly already signed a three-year contract with the Mighty Buccaneers.
The Ulundi-born defender, who made 21 league stars for Golden Arrows last season, is expected to compete with the likes of Happy Jele and Ntsikelelo Nyauza for the right-back position at Pirates.
According to a source close to Bucs, the 23-year-old is expected to start the game against African Stars in the third-place playoff on Sunday.
“Sikhakhane has joined Pirates on camp. The management are the right people to confirm if he has already signed or not,” says the source.
Sikhakhane was recently described by South Africa Under-23 doach Owen da Gama as "one of the greatest finds of this season and he is just an absolute gem" even though he missed out on the final Rio Olympics squad.
Pirates coach Muhsin Ertugral recently enforced the contract termination of another right-back option, Thamsanqa Mkhize, who is now a free agent despite only signing for Bucs a few weeks ago.
