Real Kings assess former Orlando Pirates defender Ayanda Gcaba

"Gcaba is still with us," Dladla said.

"We talk every day with him about the contract. We will make a decision before Thursday."

Gcaba, 32, had previous unsuccessful assessments at Highlands Park and Black Leopards, having ended a six-year tenure at Pirates on loan at Platinum Stars last term.

Dladla added that the National First Division strugglers are in talks with clubs regarding other signings this January transfer window.

"As I told you before, we are still negotiating with other clubs.

"Hopefully by the end of the window period we will be sorted and reach our target."

Kings are second-from-bottom on the log with 12 games left, and will next face mid-table Uthongathi in a KwaZulu-Natal derby at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday (15h30).
