The KwaZulu-Natal-born player rejoined the Chilli Boys last year November after signing a short-term contract that would have seen him remain with the Port Elizabeth side until the end of the current season.
However, yesterday saw the club move forward with an extension of that deal, keeping him with Chippa Mpengesi's side until 2019.
"Yes, [an extension was signed] yesterday, in the evening to be exact. It's a straightforward contract without an option to renew," a source close to the deal tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Zuke will now be looking to pay back the club's faith as they look to turn around their six-match winless run in the Absa Premiership, which threatens to pull Chippa into the relegation dogfight in the final eight games of the season.
United are currently 10th in the league standings, just three points outside of the top-eight, although there is the same points gap between themselves and the bottom-two as the season enters the home stretch.
