The new deal means George will be contracted to Eagles until June 2019.
Though there had been attempts to get clarity on the deal that he was previously sitting on it has now been confirmed that he was actually due to be a free agent at the end of June prior to putting pen to paper on this new deal.
While the new contract has slightly improved terms compared to what he has been earning all along, word is that it is still way too low for a top-scoring forward whose services are being sought by several clubs in the PSL. This website knows there have been enquiries from at least three PSL clubs.
George has scored 19 goals to date and has been key to Eagles' bid for promotion this season.
