SuperSport United boss Stuart Baxter's talks with SAFA over Bafana job stall

SuperSport recently granted SAFA permission to approach Baxter about the Bafana job, which was vacated with the sacking of Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba in December.

Baxter previously hoped to provide clarity on his future prior to his club's CAF Confederation Cup first-leg 1-1 draw with Barrack Young Controllers in Liberia on April 9.

United have since lost 5-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the league and bounced back with a 5-0 rout of BYC on Sunday.

Asked for an update on his talks with SAFA, Baxter said: "What can I tell you? I think the SAFA hierarchy has been away. I think they have spoken to SuperSport and it's an impasse that means I am not in the loop, I am [not] negotiating with anybody.

"I cant tell you any more. If you call SuperSport and speak to them. For me I am enjoying the game tonight [Sunday], I didn’t enjoy the game against Sundowns."
