Labohm was spotted in the stands watching the Absa Premiership match between Matsatsantsa and Black Leopards at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
SuperSport hammered Leopards 4-0 to get a big confidence boost ahead of their MTN8 final against Cape Town City in Durban on Saturday.
Labohm has confirmed his appointment with Matsatsantsa and says his main ambition is to see numerous young players from their development side get promoted to the first team and emulate the likes of Kermit Erasmus and Kamohelo Mokotjo.
“We must see in the academy if we can move up to what we did in 2006 when we had the squad of Thato Mokeke, Keegan Ritchie, Kermit Erasmus, Kamohelo Mokotjo and even Ronwen Williams is the only one left in that generation. The rest went out of the club,” said Labohm.
“If we can do that in the coming years to get a new generation, [it] will be good for SuperSport,” he added.
Labohm is also expected to oversee SuperSport’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge team, replacing Kwanele Kopo.
