Chippa signed the playmaker late last year from Orlando Pirates in exchange for defenders Phetso Maphanga and Diamond Thopola.

Rakhale made his United debut as a substitute in the 2-0 win over AmaZulu at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

The 27-year-old fan-favourite shone in Bucs' run to the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2015 but saw his profile wane in recent years.

However, he has faith Moloi can help inject consistency into his game. The two worked together at Mayfair when Moloi was serving as an assistant coach prior to his exit in 2016.

“When coach 'Tebza' was on my side I was a bit more consistent and he’ll help bring back the form that I had before,” Rakhale told snl24.com/kickoff.

“Having said that, it feels great to be part of the Chippa set-up and I can safely say I’m happy to be here.

“The club have welcomed me with warm hands. So far I’m just gelling nicely with the team, and to be reunited with coach Tebza is a great feeling once again because he’s knows what I’m capable of.

“He was one of the coaches who was there when I got my first game at Orlando Pirates and was always pushing me, always making sure that I play to the best of my abilities.”

When asked if he will miss being part of the Soweto Derby, Rakhale said: “I’m at Chippa and I’m just here to enjoy my football.”
