Morena has attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, but Ramabodu says the player's services are still needed at Phunya Sele Sele.
"I would like to confirm that Thapelo Morena has got the three-year contract with the club so at this stage he is staying," Ramabodu said at today's draw for the UThungulu Mayoral Cup in Richards Bay.
"Yes, it is a fact that three teams have approached Celtic but at this stage we are keeping him. We want to have a strong team this season and we want to win something."
Ramabodu added: "What we have done and the reason why I’m saying we have given him a three-year contract is because we have bettered his contract. Because we saw that there was a lot of interest and we wanted to keep him and he is happy.
"We improved his salary and that is why I’m saying we have a new three-year contract deal with him and it is expiring in 2019. He has already signed it."
Morena is with the South Africa U-23 squad that is currently preparing for next month's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
