Kick off is 20h00 at the Absa Stadium in Durban.

The in-form player says his teammates are looking forward to a decisive encounter against a team from which they snatched four points in the league.

They have put behind them their performance a fortnight ago when the teams played to a stalemate in the league, he says.

Chiefs had the Urban Warriors on the ropes the entire match and could have collected three points had David Obua not ballooned his penalty wide late in the game.

Ferreira has arguably been a revelation for the Craig Rosslee-coached side this season as the young Cape club chases its first league title since the team’s formation as a merger between Cape Town Spurs and Seven Stars nine years ago.

Concurring with his defensive counterpart, Brett Evans says he is hopeful that a league and cup double is attainable.

“All the players are indeed concentrating on winning the league,” he says.

“Nonetheless, we are going to Durban for serious work and to challenge strongly for the Nedbank Cup. I am optimistic that we will return to Cape Town with a positive result. We hope that everything comes good; in both competitions.”

Urban Warriors’ players have also vowed to double their league title after club boss John Comitis promised them R5 000 bonuses for each of the 8 remaining games.

Both defender Bryce Moon and midfielder Mkhanyiseli Siwahla tell snl24.com/kickoff that the new incentives have inspired them to treat all the remaining fixtures as cup finals.

“We have been on top of the log for more than three months; there is no way that we will drop from this position now.

“People are talking about us failing to handle the pressure but I think we have already shown good character.

“Winning the league is motivation on its own, but the bonuses will inspire the guys to double their efforts,” he says.

Siwahla also believes that the league title will rest in the Mother City this season but adds that the last four league games will be crucial.
