Usuthu quartet look to be out in the cold

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ncala, left-back Lovers Mohlala, strikers Simo Dladla and veteran Dennis Lota were all found to be in excess to requirements during January.

Though Mohlala has been rumoured to be training with a Gauteng club, his contract is still in the hands of Usuthu.

Lota is also reported to have moved back to Johannesburg.

“We were not approached by any clubs for their services. However, since they are all still AmaZulu players, the coach can decide to use them at any time; but that is unlikely to happen,” says Usuthu spokesman Philani Mabaso.

“Lawrence Ncala is still here with us as a back up goalkeeper since Kalililo Kakonje has been away at the Nations Cup with the Zambian national team. The only other keeper that we currently have is Mbongeni Mzimela. But, as I said Ncala is not in the coach’s plans so we are looking at free agent keepers.”

The players will continue to receive their salaries provided they abide to the club’s requirements.
