The Emalahleni based side, who are currently starring relegation in the face, succumb to their 14th defeat of the season over the weekend when they lost 2-0 to Tshakuma Tsha Madzhivhandila FC.

Mashaba was brought in at the start of the year as Spurs were looking for someone to get them out of trouble. But the former Bafana Bafana coach has not been able to change the club's fortunes, despite his experience in the game.

Spurs had a three-year plan to get to the PSL with Mashaba and they now have to get someone else who will get them out of trouble.

"We have parted ways with Shakes and the rest of his technical team. He tried but unfortunately it did not work out." Club Ceo Freddy Mapulane tells snl24.com/kickoff.

Spurs are currently at the bottom of the NFD standings. They are on 21 points after 25 matches.
