
The mercurial midfielder was a free agent since his contract with his hometown club Juventus came to an end at the close of last season, and will be looking to make a name for himself as he looks to reestablish himself as one of the top midfielders in world football.
The move will boost the midfielder’s opportunity to reclaim a regular spot in the Italian national team and in the process, form a key figure in coach Roberto Mancini’s team.
The 32-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Russian outfit.
