Arrows’ coach Manqoba Mngqithi has confirmed to snl24.com/kickoff that Zothwane is not going anywhere and that the player had assured him during the team’s training session yesterday that he is staying with Abafana Bes’thende.

“We have heard all those stories about Zothwane joining Sundowns, but those reports are not true. I spoke to the player yesterday after training and assured me that he is staying.”

Mphela’s agent Joseph Cotty has confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns were keen to sign the Bafana Bafana striker but Supersport United has turned down their offer.

“It’s final; Katlego is not joining Sundowns. He is not going to play for any other team in South Africa at the moment. There is only deal that can happen and that is for him to go overseas.”

Meanwhile although Sundowns’ coach Gordon Igesund says that he will be finalising deal with new players soon and could announce his new signings late this evening, snl24.com/kickoff learns that the Brazilians have signed Black Leopards and Amaglug-glug defender Luvhengo Mungomeni on a two-and-a-half-year deal, with the option to renew.

“Sundowns have spoken to the player and he has agreed to join them. The only thing left now is for the team to agree in financial terms with Leopards on the transfer fee.”

Prosport International director, Mike Makaab, whose company represents Mungomeni has confirmed that the the Siloan-born defender has attracted interest from top teams in PSL and that Sundowns is one of the teams.
