Zothwane out for a year

accreditation

This was exclusively revealed to snl24.com/kickoff by Durban biokinetist Lyn Roberts this morning.

Roberts spoke to snl24.com/kickoff while Thanda Zulu Royal were busy training at the Absa Stadium’s outer fields.

The medic was busy with Bafana Bafana and Danish champions Aalborg’s striker Siyabonga Nomvete, who is currently back in the country after undergoing a groin operation that forced him to miss start of the season and Uefa games.

On Zothwane’s condition, she said: “He is still lying low even though his knee operation took place six months ago.

“He is struggling to drive after the accident so I have arranged for him to be taken to the gym which is not far from his house in Umhlanga. He should be back on the field after a year because the injury is very bad.

“Zothwane will need to rest properly before he’s fully fit. He’s obviously disappointed to miss the action but he’s a strong boy and will pull through.”

Turning on Nomvete, Roberts said: “He is doing well so far after his groin operation. He’s pushing hard so that he will not be far behind in terms of fitness when he rejoins his teammates next Wednesday.”
