Raphael Varane completed his move to Manchester United, while one of Jose Mourinho's ex-strikers joined Inter Milan as Romelu Lukaku's replacement. Here are 10 deals that took place on the weekend!  

With his move finally being made official, Varane was unveiled in front of 72 700 United supporters as they were treated to a memorable moment on Saturday after a lengthy spell away from Old Trafford due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Transfermarkt, the 28-year-old has joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid at a fee of €40 million (R694 million), and will reportedly earn £197 000 (R4 million) a week in England.

Leicester City, meanwhile, were forced to look for alternative options in the centre-back department after Jonny Evans picked up an injury and Wesley Fofana broke his leg in a pre-season friendly.

Manager Brendan Rodgers thus decided to pursue Denmark star Jannik Vestergaard, with the Foxes agreeing a deal with Southampton for a reported fee of €17.6 million (R305 million).

Over in Italy, Inter quickly wrapped up their search for a striker after Lukaku departed the San Siro for Chelsea, with Edin Dzeko having completed his move from Mourinho's Roma to the Nerazzurri on Saturday, per The Sun

The 35-year-old had a fruitful spell for the Giallorossi, scoring 119 goals and providing 55 assists in 260 matches for the Rome club.
