There have been a number of former players-turned-pundits who have called for the Egyptian giants to part ways Mosimane after the CAF Champions League final loss.

Mosimane met with the club's board on Friday evening in Cairo after he already had a video meeting with Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib.

Samy did not blame Mosimane for the Champions League final defeat and instead took aim the Al Ahly heirachy.

"Mosimane won Al Ahly two Champions League titles, and he led the team to the third consecutive final but he lost it due to management issues," Samy posted on Facebook, as per KingFut.

"Al Ahly board are the ones responsible for the game being played at their opponents' home, if they decide to sack Mosimane, he would just be a scapegoat to cover for the board mistakes."

The Red Devils currently sit in third spot on the Egyptian Premier League table, seven points behind league leaders Zamalek although they have four games in hand.
