The top African goalscorers in 2021


We are two months away from the end of the year and it is becoming clearer which African forward will end 2021 with the most goals. Here are the continent's top 10 goalscorers in Europe in this year!

Racing Genk's Paul Onuachu is currently one of the continent's best marksmen with 23 goals in 25 league matches this year. According to Transfermarkt, the Nigerian is scoring every 81 minutes he spends on the pitch, but despite his best efforts, his side could only earn a fourth-placed position in the 2020/21 Jupiter Pro League campaign.

Ayoub El Kaabi is also among this year's top goal-getters after netting 21 strikes in 31 league matches. The Moroccan centre-forward scored those goals for his former side Wydad Casablanca and current team Hatayspor in the past 10 months, but despite his form, the 28-year-old is still yet to earn a regular spot with his national team.

New Leicester City signing Patson Daka enjoyed a prolific spell at Red Bull Salzburg in the early stages of 2021 that helped him get to 19 top-flight goals, but since moving to England in July, the Zambian striker has struggled and is yet to get his first strike for the Foxes, despite making five appearances across all competitions for the side.
