The on-loan Manchester United star Anthony Martial had shed light on reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is disruptive in the Old Trafford dressing room.

A number of reports have suggested that there is tension in the United squad and that one of the main sources of the alleged conflict is the Portugal star.

At first, there were rumours saying that Mason Greenwood was unhappy about the 37-year-old's influence within the squad. There were then suggestions that there are cliques in the team, and the one group was a Portuguese-speaking collective led by Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.

It was also later claimed that the rest of the players were getting tired of the former Real Madrid star, but Martial, who went on loan at Sevilla in January, has now dismissed those reports.

"Cristiano is a top professional, one of the best in the history of the game," Martial - who will spend the rest of the season in Seville - told Spanish publication AS.

"We all love him. There are things that are said in the media that are not true. I was in that dressing room and I know what happened."
