Brazil boss slams 'donkey' Paris Saint-Germain managers?

With Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen to offload Neymar ahead of next season, his Brazil coach Tite has seemingly taken aim at some of the French club's latest managers, describing those who have played him as a winger as "donkeys".

The 30-year-old is currently the subject of heavy speculation as his time at PSG could potentially come to an unexpected conclusion.

Reports suggest that the player has fallen out of favour with the French side's hierarchy after club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi refused to confirm whether or not the No. 10 would still be at the Parc des Princes come the 2022/23 campaign.

A number of clubs have since been linked with Neymar's signature, including Chelsea and FC Barcelona.

While the 30-year-old has been criticised for a few reasons over the past couple of years, including underperforming on the pitch, it seems his national team boss has taken issue with how the player is utilised in Paris.

In 19 of his 22 Ligue 1 matches last season, the former Barca star started in the left-wing position, per Transfermarkt, but Tite sees this as a big mistake as he prefers to play him through the middle of the attack.

"He's not a problem, he's a solution," the Brazil boss has told the Sextra Estrela podcast.

"They say Neymar will make more mistakes playing there [in the middle]. But it's his position that makes him make more mistakes because everything he does in creative terms there will be decisive.

"If a coach plays Neymar on the wing, I will call him a donkey. It considerably restricts the creative capacity of a player with these qualities.

"Creativity is not constancy, it is contingency, it is circumstantial. He will make more mistakes, yes, because his creative ability is where he is required."
