New Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly looking to raid his former club Chelsea for a couple players.

The German tactician was unveiled as the new Bayern head coach on Saturday after Julian Nagelsmann was sacked on Friday evening.

Now it seems while Tuchel will have his sights set on silverware this season, he has already reportedly started thinking about reinforcements for next season.

Calciomercato have reported that the German coach wants the Bavarians to sign Blues duo Edouard Mendy and Mateo Kovacic.

Kovacic is said to be a target for a number of players as he enters the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Mendy, meanwhile, could reportedly look to leave the London club after falling down the pecking order since returning from the FIFA World Cup.

Tuchel also confirmed at his unveiling on Saturday that he is hoping to secure add Chelsea's Anthony Barry to his backroom staff in Munich.

"My coaching staff wasn't prepared either, so a big thank you to their families for their flexibility," Tuchel said, as per Goal. "

Arno Michels and Zsolt Low, who have been working with me for over ten years, will be there. We're hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea."
