With Real Madrid reportedly set to offer Luka Modric a contract extension, here are eight players who recently sealed new deals with their clubs, including FC Barcelona star Ansu Fati!

Various reports in Spain have suggested that Los Blancos will offer veteran midfielder Modric a new deal until the end of the 2022/23 season, with manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly keen to retain the 36-year-old's services.

While the Croatian's extension still in the works, fellow LaLiga stars Fati and Pedri recently signed on the dotted line at Barcelona, agreeing to new long-term contracts until June 2027 and June 2026, respectively.

The two teenagers are believed to be among the Blaugrana's brightest prospects as a new era begins following the sensational departure of Lionel Messi in August, and the return to the club of Xavi Hernandez as manager.

Fati has already taken the iconic No. 10 shirt at the Camp Nou, and many believe the 19-year-old attacker will take on a key role as the Catalans attempt to return to their glory days.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Chelsea recently awarded defender Trevoh Chalobah with a five-year contract until June 2026.

The Sierra Leone-born centre-back has made quite an impression under Thomas Tuchel this season, and appears to have gained the German manager's trust as he has featured 10 times already this season, despite competing with the likes of Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen for a place in the starting XI.
